What Kind of Care do I Need?
The knowledgeable and professional staff at Pegasus will help you determine what type of in-home care best suits the needs of you or you loved one and we will tailor a program specifically designed to meet those needs. Here are some basic guidelines however, that will help you decide which program is best for you.
In-Home Skilled Medical Care: In most cases, in-home skilled medical care services have been specifically prescribed by your physician(s). Skilled medical care is virtually an extension of the medical treatment and care received in a hospital or other medical facility but is provided in the comfort of the home environment. Skilled care is often the perfect alternative for recovery and rehabilitation from surgery or a hospital stay or the management of a long-term medical illness or condition. In conjunction with skilled care services, personal care services can be provided to assist the patient with day-to-day activities that would not be provided by a skilled medical professional.
Personal Care Services: Our Personal Care Service offers a wide array of lifestyle and support services for individuals that do not require specific medical therapies or treatment. Our Personal Caregivers welcome the opportunity to assist with bathing, housekeeping, cooking and transportation needs to and from life’s necessary errands such as doctor appointments or the much welcome shopping excursion. Personal Care Services are available on both short and long term bases.
