"As an Internist and Rheumatologist, I have been using Pegasus Home Care for the past 15 years. I have been able to get the nationally known medical center I use to see the difference in the quality of care that this company gives, and to automatically refer all of my patients in need of Home Health care to Pegasus. They tell me that they love the interaction their discharge planner and doctors have with Pegasus. When referrals are made the communication is flawless and same day service, when necessary, is supplied to the patient being discharged from the hospital. They can do lab work, arrange for wound care and use only the most professional nurses.
I noticed the difference with my own family member when she was automatically referred to another home health care provider by her doctor. The care provider this company sent to evaluate her and check her blood pressure was very unprofessional, poorly groomed and had a horrible loose cough. He spoke little at all to any of us. I promptly fired him and the company and called Pegasus. Within one hour a professional, empathetic and competent male nurse arrived. He spoke to all of us at length and over the next several months gave supportive emotional care to my loved one's caretakers who suffered as my relative went through the final stages of Alzheimer's disease. He could draw blood as well as a best phlebotomist. He could give IV antibiotics and arranged for PICC line placement earlier on for IV fluids. Pegasus arranged for X-rays when necessary. Countless trips to the ER were avoided. The people at Pegasus really care about my patients and there is a consistency in that all of the nurses are excellent. I can call, email or call the mobile phone of the COO, Kimberly Sternberg, 24/7 when I need to get help for my patients. If I need a pro-time result in the morning she makes sure that the nurse gets it done. Once my patients experience the care they get with Pegasus they never want to have any other home health company sent out. I cannot recommend this caring group of people strongly enough. You have to experience the difference yourself".
